Warm weather is finally here and we are all so excited to get outside. Before we get ahead of ourselves it's important to remember to give your dog the proper pest preventatives. Heartworms are a deadly parasite spread by mosquitoes. Your vet can prescribe monthly preventative chews to protect your dog. Flea and tick preventative is also very important. I've heard many reports of ticks found after trips to dog parks and wooded areas already this year. These simple preventative measures will keep your dog and your family safe from pests.
